I'll stare as the sun sets in the sky.
The burning orb as it slowly dies.
I'll stare even though it hurts my eyes.
And when the ashes rain,
Their souls will ache
For the light of freedom it never saw in its wake.
We’ll grieve for the lonely souls
And for those still bleeding
From age old wounds.
As the red washes away
And dawn breaks,
Along the horizon there's a glory that never fades.
